Thank you for bringing your F-150 in and letting us take a look. Transmission work is one of those repairs where the details in the estimate matter — we laid everything out so there are no surprises.

This estimate covers the complete rebuild we discussed: full teardown and inspection, OEM-equivalent clutch and seal rebuild kit, torque converter replacement, transmission fluid flush, all labor, and a final road test. The number you see is the number you pay. If we open the unit and find damage that wasn't visible on the outside, we photograph it and call you before anything additional proceeds.

Scope of Work
Phase 1 · Drop-off & Teardown Inspection
Your F-150 is brought in, the transmission is removed, and a full teardown inspection is performed. We document the condition of all internal components and confirm the rebuild scope before ordering parts.
Phase 2 · Parts Authorization & Ordering
We present you with a complete parts list and confirm written authorization before ordering. All parts are OEM-equivalent quality — we do not substitute for price.
Phase 3 · Full Rebuild
The 5R110W is fully rebuilt with new clutch packs, bands, seals, and a replacement torque converter. All wear components are replaced regardless of condition — a partial rebuild is not an option at this mileage.
Phase 4 · Reinstall & Fluid Service
The rebuilt transmission is reinstalled, all mounting hardware is torqued to spec, and a complete fluid flush and refill is performed with the correct specification fluid for your application.
Phase 5 · Road Test & Final Calibration
We perform a complete road test across multiple drive cycles to verify smooth shifting through all gears, confirm torque converter lockup, and ensure there are no codes before the vehicle is returned to you.

For a transmission rebuild, the most common scope gaps are the torque converter (often not included in advertised rebuild prices), the quality of the rebuild kit (OEM versus aftermarket), whether the R&R labor — removing and reinstalling the transmission — is baked into the price or charged separately, and what the warranty actually covers and for how long.
